“槟州全民庆卫塞”缘起于2012年，后来，2019年新冠疫情的肆虐，导致活动停办数年。如今疫情已缓解，各界有心重拾庆典仪式，槟州全民庆卫塞于2023年得以重办。更加稀有难得的是，今年是由佛教的三大主要传承——北传、南传、藏传佛教，合力主办盛会，向大家展现佛教的多元及包容性。

This Penang Wesak Celebration Day was first initiated in 2012 and stopped hosting for several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019. Now the pandemic has subsided, the community is keen to host the celebration, and thus the PWCD will be held again this year. Moreover, this year's event is particularly precious, as the three major traditions of Buddhism, including Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana, will jointly host the grand event, showing the diversity and inclusiveness of Buddhism.
